Supporting the Curriculum

The Supply Chain Game is ideally suited to use with students on Business Studies or Manufacturing related courses where the concept of the Supply Chain is taught and is designed to supplement that learning in an enjoyable exercise.  The simulation of a simple small manufacturing business is specifically designed to realistically highlight the types of problem typically experienced in a real manufacturing environment.   

The students will be able to understand the wide variety of job functions required for the successful operation of a manufacturing business and be exposed to the pressures of tight and seemingly impossible deadlines.   The students will see the logistical and planning issues associated with a small manufacturing company and are given the opportunity to influence how their business is run.   Participants are encouraged to introduce new work practices, hire new personnel, restructure their business, re-train workers and even make personnel redundant in response to the problems that they identify.
