Use in Business

The Supply Chain Game is, by design, a business simulation exercise and can be used successfully in a commercial environment in a number of ways.   This enjoyable exercise is perfect for use as a team building activity to build relationships between personnel who may not ordinarily interact.  The intensive, yet enjoyable, nature of the activity allows the true character of participants to emerge and barriers between hierarchical levels in the management structure and individuals are eliminated.   

The natural competitive instincts of the participants are key to the success of the activity and are positively encouraged.  An element of competition is inherent in the design and can be further enhanced in larger groups between established groups (i.e. different departments) by establishing two identical “companies” which operate simultaneously in direct competition to each other.

Alternatively, the intensive and competitive nature of the exercise can be harnessed to assist in selection activities as part of large scale recruitment activities.
